The late rounds are where a draft becomes a portfolio. Nobody remembers the eleventh pick that failed; everybody remembers the one that returned twenty-fold. This August the industry's late-round consensus has coalesced around a short list we mostly endorse, with our own notes in the margin.

- Stefon Diggs, WR, WASVeteranSigned with the Commanders this offseason, still posting elite per-route numbers by every accounting we trust. The market prices the age; the film prices a WR2\. When those disagree at a late-round cost, take the film.
- Dalton Kincaid, TE, BUFYear FourElite yards-per-route-run among tight ends with the injury concerns finally behind him. Josh Allen remains the sport's most generous employer.
- Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, JAXOpportunityTravis Etienne's departure for New Orleans left Jacksonville splitting work between Bhayshul Tuten's speed and Rodriguez's power. Red-zone carries decide fantasy seasons, and Rodriguez owns that lane.
- Tank Dell, WR, HOUThe ReturnBack from the injury that cost him last season, with yards-after-catch skills the camp reports call superb. Big-play receivers at afterthought prices are how championships are financed.
- Denzel Boston, WR, CLERookieDrawing rave reviews in Berea and already listed as a starting receiver alongside fellow rookie KC Concepcion. Cleveland's quarterback room is unsettled; target vacuums are not.
- Ja'Kobi Lane, WR, BALRookieTraining-camp buzz plus red-zone geometry next to Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has spent a decade turning size into touchdowns.
- Makai Lemon, WR, PHIThe VacuumA.J. Brown's trade to New England left behind one of the league's great target shares. The rookie desks have Lemon positioned to inherit a meaningful piece of it — at a cost, around pick 73, that still reflects nobody quite believing it.

Late-round drafting is underwriting: small premiums, asymmetric payouts, and no sentiment about the names.

One drafting note. Sleepers are a portfolio strategy, not a conviction contest — the correct number of these men to roster is two or three per draft, purchased at their price and never a round before it. The moment the room catches up, the value is gone and so is our interest. That is not disloyalty; that is the whole discipline.
